One of the easily solvable problems is when the water heater temperature is too high or too low. Each water heater has a thermostat on the front of the tank. You can adjust the dial to increase or decrease the temperature. After that, leave the water heater and wait for it to raise or lower the water temperature by itself. After that, test whether the water has heated up to the desired temperature. A problem with gas water heater can occur in the form of the indicator light going out. The pilot light is there to allow the burner to light inside the hot water tank. To turn on the pilot light, you must make sure that the button is in the OFF position. Then remove the cover to access the burner. When five minutes have passed, turn the knob to pilot. This will allow the gas to reach the burner, after which you will press the ignition button to light the burner. Sometimes you will have to press this button several times and your water heater will work.
